Everett F. Marshall, O.D.

Dr. Marshall was born & raised in Montgomery. He graduated from Montgomery Catholic High School in 1998. His next step was to the “loveliest village on the plains,” where he spent the next 4 years before graduating magna cum laude from Auburn in the fall of 2002. In 2003, he began his first of four years at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. While at UABSO he learned under many great minds in the Optometry field. Upon his graduation from UABSO cum laude in May 2007, he moved back to Montgomery to start practicing.

On July 1st, 2013, Downtown Eye Care opened for business and we haven’t slowed down since. Dr. Marshall see’s patients at Downtown Eye Care Monday through Friday. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Alabama Optometric Association, and the East Central Optometric Zone, where he is a past president.

In his spare time, Dr. Marshall enjoys fishing, hunting and all things sports. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

Staff Members

Lauren began working for Downtown Eye Care even before the first patient walked through the doors. With a background in marketing and public relations, she enjoys working everyday with patients, whether it is by helping them select the perfect pair of eyeglasses, getting patients their contacts in a timely manner, or just helping out wherever she can. She also works to continue expanding our online presence via this website and social media as well. Lauren also serves as our business manager & handles all billing and day-to-day operations for the office.

Sunshine joined our staff in 2019. She brings 23 years of experience working in the optometric and medical practice field. She enjoys working with patients and helping make their experience as easy as possible. Her jobs are not limited to patient check-in/check-out, verifying insurances or patient scheduling, she also is an expert in the optical as well. She loves to help patients select their new eyewear and to educate them on current products. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family.
